"You and Your Body" is an educational brochure produced in 2004 and based on questions (and answers) referred by young women to "La-Briut"  Among the topics covered are:  gynecology, contraception, fertility, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual relations.

"L’vriut Nashim" – The IAAWH Newsletter

In 2004, IAAWH distributed 10,000 copies of our newsletter "L'vriut Nashim" on the topic of contraception (Picture) to young women in a campaign carried out jointly with the Israel Association for Family Planning.

This year, L'vriut Nashim will be devoted to the topic of mental health and produced through a grant from the Toronto Women's Philanthropy Fund. The topic for 2006 is women and cardio-vascular disease.

"The Impact of an Empowerment Model on Palestinian and Israeli Women Coping with Breast Cancer: Survey Results and Evaluation."

This is the final report on Project COPE – a joint effort of IAAWH, JDC-Israel, The Israel Cancer Society, and Patients Friends Society - Jerusalem.

Project COPE has brought together Israeli and Palestinian women diagnosed with breast cancer as well as health professionals in the field in order to share experiences, exchange information and develop joint activities that promote empowerment and enhance the coping process. Specific objectives have included increasing accessibility to information, improving doctor-patient communication and developing social support mechanisms that are culturally sensitive.

Aside from concrete outcomes of this project, perhaps one of its most important contributions is the bridge built between the two groups of women. For both Israelis and Palestinians, the breast cancer experience has acted as powerful equalizing force in overcoming cultural and other barriers to communication.
